Peer Review Policy:

The Academic Research Journal of Science and Technology (ARJST) adheres to a rigorous peer review process. Following initial approval by the Editor-in-Chief, submitted manuscripts undergo formal double-blind peer review. This collaborative process involves members of the editorial board and independent referees. Authors and reviewers are encouraged to utilize the journal’s electronic submission and peer-review system.

Peer Review Process and Publication Criteria:

Submissions to the Academic Research Journal of Science and Technology (ARJST) are subject to a double-blind peer-review process. To be considered for publication, articles must meet the following criteria:

Editorial and Publishing Policies of the Academic Research Journal of Science and Technology (ARJST)

The following policies govern the editorial and publishing processes for content published in the Academic Research Journal of Science and Technology (ARJST).

1. Publication Charges (Open Access)

  • Purpose of Charges: To support open access publishing, ARJST employs a business model where a publication fee is charged to authors for each accepted article. This fee partially covers the expenses associated with peer review, journal production, online hosting, and archiving.
  • Fees and Discounts:
    • A journal-specific publication fee is applicable to each published article.
    • Authors who are registered members of the Indian Society for Education and Environment are eligible for a subscription waiver for one year.
    • The publication charge is non-refundable as it covers a portion of the handling expenses.
    • Payment of the publication charge does not guarantee listing by any professional body or indexing in any specific database.
  • Fee Waivers: ARJST offers full or partial fee waivers to authors who lack the financial resources to cover publication fees. Importantly, editors and reviewers are not privy to authors’ payment information, ensuring that the ability to pay does not influence the decision to publish.

2. Open Access Agreement (Creative Commons License)

  • Upon submission, authors are required to agree to an open access Creative Commons license (CC-BY).
  • Copyright Retention: Authors retain the copyright to their published articles.
  • User Rights: The CC-BY license grants users the freedom to download, print, extract, reuse, archive, and distribute the article, provided appropriate credit is given to the authors and the original source.
  • Wider Accessibility: This licensing ensures the widest possible dissemination of the authors’ work and allows for inclusion in scholarly archives.

3. Submission of Related Manuscripts

  • Originality Declaration: During submission, all authors must declare that they do not have any related or duplicate manuscripts under consideration or accepted for publication elsewhere.
  • Disclosure of Related Work: If related work has been submitted to another publication, a copy of that manuscript must be included with the submission to ARJST.
  • Reviewer Evaluation: Reviewers will be asked to assess the degree of overlap between any related submissions.

4. Confidentiality

  • Manuscript Confidentiality: Editors and reviewers are obligated to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all submitted manuscripts.
  • Data Privacy: The names and email addresses provided on the journal site will be used solely for the journal’s stated purposes and will not be shared with any other party or used for other purposes.

5. Corrections and Additions

  • Author Responsibility: The authors bear the responsibility for the accuracy of the content within their published papers.
  • Post-Publication Amendments: Any corrections or updates to an article after its publication will be subject to an additional charge of INR 1000 / USD 50.

6. Publication Ethics

  • Author Responsibilities: Authors are expected to adhere to the highest standards of publication ethics. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Avoiding ghost or guest authorship.
    • Refraining from dual submission of manuscripts.
    • Ensuring the originality of their work and avoiding plagiarism.
    • Maintaining the integrity of figures and avoiding manipulation.
    • Declaring any competing interests.
    • Complying with all relevant research ethics policies.
  • Reviewer and Editor Responsibilities: Reviewers and editors are required to evaluate manuscripts fairly and maintain confidentiality throughout the review process.
