The Academic Research Journal of Science and Technology (ARJST) is an international, peer-reviewed publication committed to advancing scholarly research on science and technology as socio-material phenomena. It examines their historical and contemporary development, including the production processes, associated forms of knowledge, expertise, social structures, and controversies. The journal also emphasizes the evolution of Science and Technology Studies’ (STS) own methodologies, knowledge production techniques, and interventions. ARJST welcomes high-quality submissions that feature robust theoretical or empirical engagement with the multidisciplinary field of STS, incorporating perspectives from anthropology, sociology, history, philosophy, political science, education, and communication studies.

The Academic Research Journal of Science and Technology (ARJST) is the official publication of the Research Department of Library and Information System at Nallamuthu Gounder Mahalingam College, Pollachi.

Open Access

The Academic Research Journal of Science and Technology (ARJST) operates as an open access publication, providing unrestricted online access to its content for a worldwide audience. All articles are made immediately and permanently available at no cost, allowing anyone to read, share, and download them without restrictions. Importantly, ARJST does not impose Author Processing Charges (APCs), enabling authors to submit and publish their research free of any financial burdens throughout the entire process.

By offering immediate open access, ARJST embraces the principle that freely accessible research enhances global knowledge exchange and benefits the public at large. Users are free to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to, or utilize the full texts of articles for any lawful purpose, as long as they appropriately cite the source—no prior permission is required from the publisher or authors. This model is fully aligned with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI).

Peer Review Process

The Academic Research Journal of Science and Technology (ARJST) employs a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure the quality and validity of published articles. This process evaluates each submission based on several criteria, including its originality, contribution to the relevant scientific field, soundness of methodology, and clarity of presentation.

Upon submission, a member of the Editorial Board assesses the manuscript to determine its suitability for the journal’s scope. If deemed appropriate, the manuscript is then sent to two anonymous reviewers, experts in the relevant field.

The Editor-in-Chief, after carefully considering the feedback provided by the reviewers, makes one of the following decisions: accept the submission for publication without changes; request minor revisions; request major revisions, or reject the submission outright. This decision is guided by the reviewers’ reports and recommendations, ultimately leading to one of four conclusions: Acceptance, Revisions Required, Resubmit for Review, or Decline Submission.

Publication Fees (APC)

The Academic Research Journal of Science and Technology (ARJST) does not impose any submission fees or article processing charges (APCs), ensuring that authors can submit their work without financial barriers.

Plagiarism

ARJST regards plagiarism as a serious form of academic misconduct. The journal reserves the right to reject manuscripts that contain plagiarized content at any stage, including before or during the review process. If plagiarism is discovered after publication, ARJST may retract the article. To detect plagiarism, the editor utilizes tools such as Plagiarism Checker X or other reliable software.
