Mandatory Disclosure of Financial Support
Authors must fully disclose all sources of financial and material support used to conduct the research or prepare the manuscript. Disclosure must explicitly categorize and detail support originating from the following:
- Internal Sources: Direct institutional funds, internal grants, departmental resources, or specific support provided by the authors’ employer or affiliated organization.
- External Sources: Any funding, whether monetary or in-kind, provided by third parties, including, but not limited to:
- Government agencies and research organizations.
- Non-profit entities, charities, and private foundations.
- For-profit entities (e.g., technology companies, pharmaceutical firms, manufacturing companies).
- Advocacy or political groups (e.g., think tanks, trade/industry associations).
