Artificial Intelligence (AI) is emerging as a transformative force in higher education, fundamentally reshaping teaching, learning, and administrative processes. This paper examines the multifaceted role of AI in higher education institutions, focusing on applications such as personalized learning, intelligent tutoring systems, predictive analytics, and automation of administrative tasks. The study explores how AI enhances student engagement, improves learning outcomes, and supports institutional efficiency. At the same time, it highlights critical challenges, including data privacy concerns, ethical issues, technological inequality, and the high cost of implementation. By analyzing existing literature and case-based examples, the paper provides insights into how higher education institutions can strategically integrate AI to remain competitive in the digital age while maintaining educational quality and inclusivity.
