Copyright and Licensing
At the Academic Research Journal of Science and Technology (ARJST), we believe that authors should retain control over their intellectual property. Our licensing policy is designed to facilitate the widest possible dissemination of research while ensuring that creators receive proper credit for their work.
1. Retention of Copyright
Unlike traditional subscription journals, ARJST does not require authors to transfer their copyright to the publisher. Authors retain full copyright of their work.
By publishing in ARJST, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive license to publish the article as the “Version of Record” and to identify itself as the original publisher.
2. Creative Commons License (CC BY-NC 4.0)
All articles published in ARJST are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license.
Under this license, others are free to:
-
Share: Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
-
Adapt: Remix, transform, and build upon the material.
Under the following terms:
-
Attribution: You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made.
-
Non-Commercial: You may not use the material for commercial purposes.
3. Self-Archiving Policy (Green Open Access)
We encourage authors to share their work. Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their personal websites) at any point during the process:
-
Pre-print: Before formal peer review.
-
Post-print: The accepted version after peer review.
-
Version of Record: The final published PDF with ARJST branding.
