The Academic Research Journal of Science and Technology (ARJST) is committed to the long-term preservation of its digital content. We recognize that authors and researchers rely on the permanent availability of scholarly work.

🔒 1. Global Preservation Networks (LOCKSS/CLOCKSS)

ARJST is working towards integration with international “dark archives” to ensure decentralized preservation:

  • LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe): We utilize the LOCKSS system to allow participating libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.

  • CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS): This ensures that a secure, geographically distributed archive exists to “trigger” open access to our content should the journal ever go offline.


🏛️ 2. Institutional Repository (Green Open Access)

All published issues are permanently archived in the NGM College Digital Library.

  • Permanent URI: Every article is assigned a stable URL and is deposited in our institutional repository, managed by the Nallamuthu Gounder Mahalingam College Library.

  • OAI-PMH Compliant: Our repository uses the Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting, ensuring our content is searchable by global aggregators.


📂 3. Self-Archiving Policy for Authors

We encourage authors to share and preserve their work. Authors are permitted to deposit all versions of their paper in their own choice of repository:

  • Pre-print: May be shared anywhere at any time.

  • Accepted Manuscript: May be shared upon acceptance.

  • Published Version (Version of Record): We encourage authors to upload the final publisher-formatted PDF to ResearchGate, Academia.edu, or their university profile to maximize impact.
