Instructions for Authors: Manuscript Submission & Formatting

To ensure a smooth peer-review process and maintain the high standards of the Academic Research Journal of Science and Technology (ARJST), authors are requested to adhere strictly to the following guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be returned for revision before being sent for review.

1. General Requirements

Originality: Manuscripts must be original work not previously published or currently under consideration by another journal.
Language: All submissions must be in clear, concise English.
File Format: Submissions should be in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.

2. Manuscript Structure

Standard research papers should generally follow this organization:

Title Page: A concise, descriptive title, followed by full author names, institutional affiliations, and the email address of the corresponding author.
Abstract: A single paragraph (200–250 words) summarizing the research objective, methodology, key findings, and conclusions.
Keywords: 4 to 6 keywords for indexing purposes.
Introduction: Background of the study, the problem statement, and the objectives.
Methodology: Clear description of the research design, data collection, and analytical tools used.
Results & Discussion: Presentation of findings (using tables and figures where necessary) and their interpretation in the context of existing literature.
Conclusion: Summary of contributions and recommendations for future research.
References: List of all sources cited in the text.

3. Formatting & Style

Typography: Use 12-point Times New Roman font with 1.5 line spacing.
Headings: Use a clear hierarchy (e.g., 1. Bold Caps, 1.1 Bold Title Case).
Citations: ARJST prefers the APA (American Psychological Association) 7th Edition style for in-text citations and the reference list.
- Example (Journal): Author, A. A. (Year). Title of article. Title of Journal, Volume(Issue), pages.
Mathematics: For technical papers involving formulas, please use LaTeX or the MS Word Equation Editor. Ensure all variables are defined.
- Example: The impact factor $I$ can be expressed as:

  Where $C$ is the number of citations and $A$ is the total number of citable items.

4. Figures and Tables

Placement: Insert tables and figures within the text at the appropriate points, not at the end of the document.
Captions: Every table/figure must have a descriptive title (e.g., Table 1: User Engagement Metrics).
Resolution: Images and charts must be high-resolution (minimum 300 dpi) to ensure clarity in the digital PDF version.

5. Ethical Considerations

Plagiarism: ARJST has a zero-tolerance policy for plagiarism. All papers are screened using detection software.
Data Privacy: For research involving human subjects (common in Library Science), authors must confirm that informed consent was obtained and participant privacy was protected.
