π 1. Our Screening Process
Every submission is scanned using Turnitin and iThenticateβthe global standards in scholarly originality checking.
-
Initial Screening: Our Editorial Support Staff performs a similarity check immediately upon submission.
-
Interpretation: Editors manually review similarity reports to distinguish between legitimate citations and potential misconduct.
π 2. Acceptable Limits
While we evaluate every paper on a case-by-case basis, our general requirements are:
-
Total Similarity Index: Must be below 15% (excluding the Reference list and common phrases).
-
Single Source Limit: Similarity from a single source must not exceed 3%.
-
Self-Plagiarism: Authors must not reuse large portions of their own previously published work without proper attribution.
βοΈ 3. Types of Plagiarism We Monitor

Direct Plagiarism: Copying text word-for-word without quotation marks or citation.
-
Mosaic/Patchwork Plagiarism: Borrowing phrases from various sources and stitching them together.
-
Paraphrasing Plagiarism: Summarizing ideas without giving credit to the original author.
-
Self-Plagiarism: Re-submitting oneβs own previous work as “new” research.
π¦ 4. Editorial Actions
Based on the results of the plagiarism report, the Editor-in-Chief will take the following actions:
-
Low Similarity (<15%): Manuscript proceeds to Peer Review.
-
Moderate Similarity (15% – 25%): Manuscript is returned to the author for “Major Revision” and re-phrasing.
-
High Similarity (>25%): Immediate Desk Rejection.

Proven Misconduct: If intentional plagiarism is discovered after publication, the article will be Retracted according to COPE guidelines.

π‘ Guidance for Authors
To avoid accidental plagiarism, we recommend using reference management software (such as Zotero or Mendeley) and ensuring that every idea that is not your own is backed by a clear in-text citation.
