Abstract

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into plant sciences represents a groundbreaking shift that has the potential to reshape the landscape of agriculture and conservation. This paper evaluates the various applications of AI in plant sciences, including species identification, disease diagnosis, crop yield prediction, and precision agriculture. It highlights the significant advancements in plant breeding and phenotyping facilitated by AI technologies while discussing the challenges and ethical considerations associated with their implementation. Finally, we argue for a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach to maximize the benefits of AI in achieving sustainable agriculture and food security.
